Privacy Policy

This policy explains how SlimPanda handles your information. Health data is sensitive, and in several jurisdictions it is treated as a special category requiring extra protection. We have tried to write this plainly rather than defensively.

1. What We Collect

• Profile and goal data you enter during setup: age, height, weight, sex, activity level and your goals.
• Health and fitness data you log: meals and calories, water intake, weight entries, and steps or activity data read from Apple Health with your permission.
• Photos you submit for food identification, and any text descriptions of meals you enter.
• Conversations with the AI health coach, so it can maintain context across sessions.
• Subscription status received from Apple. We never see or store your payment card details.
• Device and diagnostic data such as device model, OS version, app version and crash reports.

2. How We Use It

• To produce calorie, macro, hydration and burn estimates and show your progress
• To let the AI health coach answer in the context of your own data
• To sync your information across your devices
• To provide support when you contact us
• To diagnose faults and improve reliability
• To send service notices, and only where you have not opted out, occasional product updates

3. Apple Health

SlimPanda reads data from Apple Health only with your explicit permission, and only the categories you approve. You can revoke access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health. We do not use Apple Health data for advertising, and we do not sell it or share it with data brokers.

4. Third Parties We Share With

• AI and image-processing providers, to analyse submitted photos and text and return estimates
• Cloud hosting and storage providers, to run the service and store your logs
• Analytics and crash-reporting providers, to measure usage and diagnose faults
• Apple, to process and validate subscription purchases

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your health data with advertisers.

5. Retention

Your logs and profile are kept while your account is active so that history and trends remain available to you. Photos submitted for identification are retained only as long as needed to produce and display the result, plus a short operational window. Diagnostic data is retained on a rolling basis. When you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal data from active systems and from backups on their normal rotation cycle.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, to withdraw consent, and to object to certain processing. Residents of the EEA and UK have these rights under the GDPR; residents of California have comparable rights under the CCPA. To exercise any of them, email app-support@md-tech.in from your account address.

7. Children

SlimPanda is not directed at children and is rated 12+. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13, or under the applicable age of digital consent in your country. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we treat health data with the seriousness it warrants.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be signalled in the app or by updating the date above.
